The wholehearted

TEDxHouston - Brené Brown

How do we cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection that we need to embrace our imperfections and to recognize that we are enough?
       The wholehearted......

Brene Brown : " I have a vulnerability issue; and I know that vulnerability is kind of the core of shame and fear and our struggle for worthiness but it appears that it's also the birth place of joy, of creativity, of belonging and of love...
There are people who think that vulnerability and tenderness is important.
We live in a vulnerable world and one of the ways we deal with this is that we numb vulnerability., and when we numb this, we numb joy, we numb gratitude, and happiness , and then we are miserable, and then we are looking for purpose and meaning and then we feel vulnerable and it becomes a dangerous cycle.
The other thing we do is make the things which are uncertain, certain... we perfect our lives -we want it to look like a gift, all wrapped in ribbon, and we perfect our children..."
