These words are actually a rephrasing of the Lord’s words in Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” and the Solomon’s words in Proverbs 16:16: “How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver!”
And to rephrase the words of a Founding Father of the USA, The words in the Bible are worth all other words which have ever been printed.
