sometimes, i feel the past and the future pressing so hard

on either side that there’s no room for the present at all.

“Cowards never allow their hearts to blaze with this fire: all they desire is for the changed

situation to quickly return to what it was before, so they can go on living their lives and

thinking

in their customary way. The brave however, set afire that which was old and, even a the cost

of great internal suffering, abandon everything and continue onward.”

heaven and hell

“But love is always new. Regardless of whether we love once, twice, or a dozen times in our life, we always face a brand-new situation. Love can consign us to hell or to paradise, but it always takes us somewhere.
When we meet someone and fall in love, we have a sense that the whole universe is on our side. And yet if something goes wrong, this universe collapses  ! Life moves very fast. It rushes from heaven to hell in a matter of seconds.”

freedom comes from within

I often think about freedom. The question is not how to get it, but what to do with it .
If I'm not free to choose irresponsibly..nor wrongly, than I'm not free at all.
As Gandhi said "freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes".
In a sense, no one is free, even the birds are chained to the skies...

endless time is spent trying to figure others out, when deep down, you’re the one that needs discovering.

"Choosing one path means abandoning others – if you try to follow every possible path you will end up following none.”

No good work whatever can be perfect, and the demand for perfection is always a sign of a misunderstanding of the ends of art.

in the night time

When people show up in your dreams, it’s not because they want something from you. It’s because you want something from them.
