the year of letting go, of understanding loss. grace.
of the word ‘no’ and also being able to say ‘you are not kind’.
the year of humanity/humility. when the whole world couldn’t get out of bed. .
the year i broke open and dug out all the rot with own hands.
the year i learnt small talk. and how to smile at strangers.
the year i understood that i am my best when i reach out
and ask ‘do you want to be my friend?’.
the year of sugar, everywhere. softness. sweetness. honey honey.
the year of being alone, and learning how much i like it.
the year of hugging people i don’t know, because i want to know them.
the year i made peace and love, right here.

When we meet with epic heartbreak and failure in the course of our adventures
we have the opportunity to cultivate the most valuable quality possible on this earth: profound compassion.
We can realize that our pain is the same pain that most every human being
meets with in her life. We experience our mortality, our limitations, our flaws
— and through this we can become incredibly tender and transparent to grace.
In this compassion gained through the wisdom of heartbreak, we begin to perceive that everyone we meet is the star protagonist of their own vast story.
Suddenly we’re not wandering through a world crowded by meaningless supporting actors and drab extras. Instead we’re intersecting many times each day with the dashing,
tragic, hilarious main characters of a thousand other fascinating tales.

'I promise here is my last sentimental moment for this year, but someone told me this,
and I'm saying it to you. Whatever happened, is happening, or will happen to you,
be it good or bad, happy or sad, blessings or losses,
never forget to say I LOVE YOU, and I'M SORRY.
And wear something red.'

Being scared is normal. My technique for erasing it is facing it.
Be afraid and brave. Be nervous and courageous.
The first few minutes of being scared is your test to see if you’re really serious about reaching a goal. Push through anxiety and come out victorious.
Fear is just a test. Honor the feeling.
Know it’s there. Know it’s temporary.
Face it to erase it.

Of course, you never really forget anyone, but you certainly release them.
You stop allowing their history to have any meaning for you today.
You let them change their haircut, let them move, let them fall in love again.
And when you see this person you have let go, you realize that there is no reason to be sad. The person you knew exists somewhere,
but you are separated by too much time to reach them again.

'The best part about airports lies in what they symbolize.
Airports are places of bookends: new beginnings and long-awaited endings,
arrivals and departures, hellos and goodbyes.
We start in one city to end in another hundreds or thousand miles away.
You enter from a desert and exit into a blizzard. In from winter, out into summer.
In from familiarity, out into something completely foreign. Or vice versa.
An airport is a place of transit, and not just geographically.
I wish there was some sort of time-lapse to show how people change
between departures and arrivals.
When I arrive back home from being away, I’m never the same person as when I left.'

Marie Nouvelle Scarf Collection 2013/2014
Marie Nouvelle is a luxury brand that promotes art in various forms and shapes. Behind the creative vision is a visual artist, painter and design lover, Maria Dermengiu
Marie Nouvelle is also an applied arts project that reconnects the modern viewer - the true art lover with the story that’s so gently painted, on what he wears.
Each scarf designed by Marie Nouvelle carries within itself a mood.
It captures the exact moment from the canvas.
Intricate designs, shapes and forms remind us of our common inheritance.
Art, in all its forms, draws you out from everyday life and brings you back to the natural flow of emotions. It holds you tight and whispers 'never lose your innocent soul'!
It is through art that mankind, the holder of infinite choices becomes a Universe in itself .
Man sleeps at the edge of reality , shaping again and again its own vision.
A painting that speaks to you will always possess something you hold inside.
The scarves, the blouses, the dresses are made from 100% pure silk and incorporate the painting collections from private views of the artist at The National Romanian Peasant Museum , U Art Gallery and other renowned exhibition venues.
